Hemp is a cannabis plant that has excessive CBD and almost negligible THC content. Marijuana is a plant that has excessive THC i.e. greater than 0.3% and CBD too. Hemp vs Marijuana is a battle that nobody wins. Both of these plants are pretty much the same. The only differentiating factor is the THC content. THC is a psychoactive compound known to cause an altered sense of being also called “high”. CBD, on the other hand is an antipsychotic compound that latches on to the CB receptors responsible for THC and block those cells. While they are from the same parent plant, Hemp vs Marijuana has become a hot topic these days. Hemp and marijuana are really the same plant with different concentrations of the same compounds. It is that simple.
